My Big Shot – From the Past Into Present

Like I said, cards from the past! But this one will be great in the future, too. The colors have been discontinued but all of the tools I used to make this card are still available. Everything was cut out using the Big Shot Die Cut Machine except the circle in the middle of the flower. I used my circle punch for that. I didn't even use any ink on this one.

So with a few turns of the crank on the Big Shot this card is done! Super easy! The hardest part for me is deciding what colors to use.

I used the Top Note, Flower Folds and Beautiful Butterflies dies and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder with the Big Shot and a circle punch. Then I added the ribbon, the button and thread and the rhinestones and it was done.

I hope you like the card and thanks for stopping by!

Simply Said

This is such a great stamp set. It is so versatile. I got this set when it first came out and I've used it many times for many different occasions.

I made this card for a make and take for a workshop. I found it on page 59 of the Fall-Winter 2008 Stampin' Up! catalog. I love these colors and I'm so glad they made it through the Color Renovations!

And speaking of the Color Renovation, if you haven't seen the new colors yet, you need to give me a call. They are amazing! I was concerned about the changes (you know I have difficulty with change) :) but when I saw the new colors, I knew the changes were going to be good.

Anyway if you want the supply list for this card and you don't have access to a 2008 catalog, send me an email and I'll forward it to you.

Right now I'm working on birthday decorations using the Celebrations DSP, Party Banner, Party Hats and the Basic Birthday Decorative Strip Die and they are too cute. It's My Little Guy's birthday next week. He's going to be a whopping 7 yrs old. Unbelievable! Check back soon and I'll have some pics.

In the meantime, I'll be posting a few more cards from the recent past. Yes, the past. You didn't think I'd conquered the Procrastination Monster, did you? I'm working on it, but to no avail. But I will never give up! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Look Here Card

This was a super duper easy card.

I created this from a sample out of last years Stampin' Up! Catalog. At the time it was NOT last years catalog. But now that it has become old news I won't bother you with all of the out dated details. But I will tell you that you can still get the Look Here Die that I used to make the inside of the card! And I love this die. It makes giving gift cards a whole lot more fun.

So, you might be wondering where I have been and what I have been doing, since I have not made any posts lately.  Ok so you're not wondering any of that. That's okay, I'll tell you anyway. In a post from December I told everyone to check back to see what I was so excited about. Then I never posted anything. So many things happened after that post that my enthusiasm just kind of faded. My son got really sick and was in the hospital. (He's well now!) We went on a wonderful Spring Break vacation and then school started winding down. Then it was summer and that brought a whole bunch of new priorities but I am going to get the ball rolling again!

Soooooooo, here are a few pics of what I am so excited about. A little late, okay a lot late. But here they are.

Can you believe it? My own craft building! It is going to be amazing. Right now it is not much further along than what you see in the last pic but work will be starting up again soon! And I am so excited. I can't wait!

Even though it's not finished I've put my stuff in it and can go out and work in it. And yes I've been making cards. So I will be posting some of them soon.

And if you are interested in purchasing the Look Here Die I used for the card in this post give me a call or email me and I can have it sent to your house before you know it.

Thanks for stopping by and checking on me!
