Big Bold Cupcakes Invitation

This was a super quickie invitation. When you have mass invitations to do, it pays to keep them simple. Believe me, I know. I’ve tried to do more complicated cards and you end up having a nervous breakdown just trying to get them finished. Well, for those individuals that are not procrastinators, life may be different but I wouldn’t know anything about it. So "Keep it simple, Cyndi" is my motto. Yeah, right. Anybody buying any of this.
Anyway, this card was fun. I cut everything with my Big Shot Die Cut Machine except for the star and the base. The hardest thing was picking out the colors. Oh, yeah, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the "You’re Invited". That thing is too cool. I used to think it was too much trouble but once you get used to using it. It’s great. I’m a keep it in the box it came in kind of person, so I think that kind of slows me down on using it. So I’ve contemplated throwing the box out. Kind of thinking outside of the box. Ha ha ha. Why are you not laughing? That was funny…admit it. Ok maybe not.
I hope you like the invitation. Check back soon to see the birthday card that I haven’t made yet but must because his birthday is Thursday! I know I said I was going to stop procrastinating and I have on some things but I have a very long road in front of me to call it success. So please, bear with me through all of my behindness.
Thanks for stopping by!

Big Day Card

This is the other back to school card I made. He is going to be 12. No more baby stuff. Ugh! So hard. You would think it would get easier since boy stuff is mostly what I make but it doesn’t. So this is what I came up with. He was pretty happy with it. So I called it good.
I used a lot of retired products on this card. I have to really. I’ve got retired stuff filling every nook and cranny in my craft room. I’m going to have to start selling some of my stamps or I’m going to have to move. A new order is coming in and I don’t even know where it will be residing yet. I may have to ask the neighbors to house me or my stuff.
Check back soon to see my new stuff.
I’ll let you know if I have to move!

Bugs & Kisses Card

I gave this card to my little guy on his first day of school. He was rather distressed about going to school this year so I thought this might make him smile.
This card is straight out of the great Stampin’ Up! 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. If you look on page 88, you will see that I CASE’d it exactly. When I’m in a really big hurry and don’t have time to get my mojo running this is the first place I go. And as you know that is often.
Check back later, I have one more first day of school card. Then I’m going to be working on a variety of other things.
Thanks for stopping by!

Primary Colors Teacher Card

Here’s another teacher card. I got the inspiration for this card from Paige Evans card on page 106 of the August 2009 Cards magazine.
This is another one of my retired supplies cards!
But if I don’t make the scrapbook pages I bought the Primary Colors Simply Scrappin’ Kit for,I’m going to run out of the kit. You see, that’s what happens when you procrastinate. Oh, well it will have been put to good use.
Check back later to see the cards I made for my boys first day back to school!
Thanks for stoppin’ by!

Tart & Tangy Teacher Card

School started today. So yesterday as I was looking for card ideas I found a great card on page 92 by Brandi Parshley in the August 2009 Cards magazine. This is my interpretation of her card. Thanks for the idea Brandi.
I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted any cards but summer has been crazy. We spent quite a bit of the summer traveling around Texas staying at our wonderful state parks. But as state parks are about camping, they don’t all have wifi.
So I did good just to keep my specials updated.
Back for now we are rooted again. I have a few more cards to post so please check back soon.
Thanks for stopping by!
