Don’t Forget! June 30th is the Last Day!

The last day of something means the start of something new. And I am so excited about the new Stampin’ Up! year. Every year is so much better than the last. So, if there is anything that you want, hurry before it’s too late! There are a lot of changes this coming year. Check back soon to see all of the new things Stampin’ Up! has to offer!

Completely CASED Congratulations Card

Before I say anything about my card, I want to let everyone know I’m sad to say this card idea is NOT my own. It belongs to Stampin’ Up! Consultant Patricia Giesbrecht in Canada. I tried to find her website so I could send traffic her way but was unable to find it. If anyone knows what it is, if you send it my way, I’ll add it to this post.
I was in need of a special congratulations card a few weeks ago and I was flipping through the June Stampin’ Success (the great monthly magazine you receive when you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator) when I saw this card on page 13 and knew it was perfect. Also as the procrastinator that I am, but trying hard not to be, I did not have much time. I looked at the list of supplies and I had almost everything. So I said to myself this is perfect.
I can take no credit for anything on this card except for the fact that I assembled it. Now for all of you that are going to look at their June Stampin’ Success, my card may not look quite as good as hers but I thought it came out pretty good. Now for the photography, not even close. I used the same color papers she did but I could not get them to look right in the photo. My camera was acting up badly that day. I thought it was broken but it turned out some setting was wrong. I wonder how that happened? Thank goodness it wasn’t broken. I really didn’t want to get a new camera right now. There are so many other things I can think of that I want.

Batten Disease Awareness Day
A friend of a friend has a blog called I am especially fond of you. It follows the life of a family that has a beautiful little girl with Batten Disease. If you have a minute stop by and see what you can do to raise awareness of this heartbreaking disease.
Thank you so much!
In Color Birthday Cupcake

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope everyone’s morning is as beautiful as mine is. The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. I’m drinking a cup a coffee and the house is quiet. Everyone’s still asleep. It’s way too QUIET. I think it’s time for them to get up. Well maybe not just yet.
OK to the point! I made this birthday card from the retiring In Colors. The inspiration came from page 40 of the Spring-Summer Idea book. I love Stampin’ Up! Idea Books. They are always there to get me started when I have no ideas of my own. OK so that’s most of the time. But I do try.
I did use a lot of different things to make this card but it was fun and still easy. And so no one is confused like I am today. The cupcake is not Stampin’ Up!. The Big Bold Birthday cupcake from the stamp set on page 40 was not quite big enough so I opted for a different cupcake. By the way, if you have been looking at that set, you only have until the end of June to purchase it. It is on the retiring list along with this years In Colors.
To make the "6", I traced a chipboard 6 on Pacific Point card stock and cut it out. I tried covering the chipboard 6 with the glitter pen I used for the spots on the cupcake and then covering it with clear embossing powder. It turned out really sparkly and so NOT the right color so I had to back up and punt. That happens to me a lot!
Have a great day!
