Stampin’ Up! Pretties Kit Card
Here’s a card that has no stamping on it. I used ink but no stamps. The inspiration for this card came from page 39 of the Spring-Summer 2008 Catalog (the card with the hearts on it). I used Cameo Coral, Rose Red and Blue Bayou card stock, Cameo Coral and Rose Red Stampin’ Write markers, Color Spritzer Tool, Twill Tape 1 1/2" width, Love & Happiness Rub-ons, Pretties Kit flowers & halfback pearl, silver brad, Circle Rhinestones Fire and staples.
Do You Feel Lucky, Today?

As you can tell this is a little late. OK, almost a month late! But today I was looking through some of the photos of my cards and saw this one. And I decided to publish it because today I feel really lucky!!!!! And the reason I feel so lucky today is just because. I try to remember every day how lucky I am. I have a wonderful life. But today I talked to a new friend that I have made and after talking with her I felt so blessed. I have issues in my life just like everyone else but my issues are so small compared to others. So I feel LUCKY!
This project was from one of my March workshops. The supplies were Pinch Proof stamp set, Gable Green, Glorious Green and Whisper White card stock, Glorious Green Classic ink, Versamark pad, Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Corner Rounder punch, Wild Wasabi Double Stitched ribbon and a heat tool. For the Happy St. Patrick’s Day sentiment, I inked the stamp with Glorious Green ink, stamped off once, inked the stamp lightly with the Versamark, then stamped the image on the card stock. Next I put clear embossing powder on it and embossed it. The shamrocks were also embossed with several layers of the clear embossing powder.
Flower Fusion

I just love this card even if I do say so myself! I really have a hard time being creative. I’m a numbers and straight line kind of person. I really wish that I could do things like sing, draw and think up great original designs for cards and scrapbooks BUT…I just don’t seem to be able to manage. I do try. Like singing, I’ll do it until either my bird or my youngest son asks me to stop. But I refuse to give up! So back to the point, this card, amazingly was thought up by none other than ME. After I got the stuff out to make it, everything just seemed to fall into place. So if you can’t tell, I’m kind of proud. I know it’s simple but it is pretty. I used the ‘Priceless’ stamp set. I really like that set. I’ve used it quite a bit since I got it. The supplies are Old Olive and Pink Passion card stock and Classic inks, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, Square Rhinestones Fire and Flower Fusion felt flowers. And that’s it. Simple. Now for the hard part, I’m going to send it to the person I made it for. Hopefully it will make them feel as good as it made me feel!
Mark The Date!
I made this card using colors from the In Color collection. I really like these colors. I’ll miss them when they’re gone in July. This card was really simple. The inspiration for this card came from page 125 of the Stampin’ Up! Spring-Summer 2008 catalog. I used ‘Mark The Date’ and ‘Full Calendar’ stamps sets from the same page in the catalog. The rest of the supplies are as follows: Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate and Very Vanilla card stock, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate Classic inks, Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker, My Way punch, 1/2" circle punch, silver brads, Wild Wasabi ribbon and staples. This is another card that could be considered masculine.
Celebrate…Masculine Birthday Card
I am always at a loss when it comes to making masculine cards. And I am surrounded by boys and men in my immediate family. So I saw a card in the April issue of ‘cards’ magazine and this is my interpretation. Thank you Jennifer Gallacher. The supplies are chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and confetti cream card stock, chocolate chip classic ink, chocolate chip craft ink, close to cocoa craft ink, 1 1/2" metal tag, 1 3/8" circle punch, Earth Elements buttons, chipboard from On Board Lots of Letters, rub-on sentiment, unknown scrap of printed paper and thread. I used the craft ink to color the chipboard but the chocolate chip was too dark so after it dried, I lightened with the close to cocoa craft ink and it came out perfect.
Birthday Card…$4.00 Stampin’ Up! Card…Priceless
This is one of my favorite cards to make. It always has a fun feel to it. It’s one of the easiest, too. You can use any color scheme and any stamp that will fit inside the 1 1/2" metal tag. I added the white scallop die-cut to give it a little character. The supplies are pink passion, green galore, gable green and whisper white card stock, pink passion and pixie pink ink, silver brads, 1/2", 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circle punches, "Priceless" stamp set, "So Swirly" jumbo wheel and ribbon. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise the heart and to raise the metal tag. The sentiment is a rub-on. To make the tag, stamp the heart on whisper white card stock using pink passion ink. Punch the heart out with the 1 3/8" circle punch. Then stamp the heart again on whisper white card stock using pixie pink ink and cut the smaller heart out with scissors. Adhere the smaller heart on top of the original image with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Then adhere the heart to the tag. This card can be a great kid’s birthday card, too. I made it using primary colors and a image from the retired stamp set "Toy Box" for a perfect young boy’s card.
