To All That Pass Through My Blog
Before I make any more posts, I wanted to tell all that pass through my blog to make sure that all of your anti-virus, anti-spyware, updates and all else that protects your computer is up to date. If you are not sure, check it out. And do not forget or neglect to backup your data. To think it will not happen to me, will not help you when it does. And when it happens, you don’t get much sympathy, either. Just a big bill.
I have spent the last two and half weeks trying to resolve my problems and when I could not do it, I had to pay someone to do it for me. Now I am having to start from scratch. I have lost a lot of things that I will not be able to recover. That gives you sort of a sick feeling. So take a few minutes to make sure you don’t end up in my shoes.
So as not end on such a depressing thought, I wanted to share an email that a friend sent to me after hearing about my woes!
On my computer . . .

Friendship Blooms

Well this post and photo seemed to be a lot less painful than the one from yesterday. I learned quite a bit about this process last night.
I made this card for a friend of mine. It is a slight variation of the card on page 9 of the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The dimensions of my card are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
The supplies I used to make this card are as follows: Friendship Blooms stamp set, Baroque Motifs stamp set, Everyday Flexible Phrases stamp set, Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Versamark Pad, Real Red ink, Old Olive ink, 5/8" Chocolate Chip grograin ribbon, Pretties Kit and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
I also made a Valentine’s Day card using this same template. I deleted the stem and changed the flower to a heart. It was one of the projects in my last class. Everyone liked it because it was so simple and was a little different than your usual Valentine’s card.
I only have a photo of one more card so I am going to have to get my husband busy on the photography end. The next one I post will be one I took myself so we’ll see how that one looks.
The themes for the projects at my next class will be Easter and St. Patrick’s Day. Hopefully you can check back Sunday to see the photos of those projects.
And don’t forget, Sale-A-Bration only has 13 more days. You don’t want to miss out on the free stamp sets. For additional information about Sale-A-Bration, you can click on the catalog at the top left or call me.
OK! So here goes….
Well, I finally received my photo editing software and my lighting equipment and they are great! But when you are starting from nowhere it takes a bit to figure it all out. But I have to give a big thank you for the tutorials from WebsbyAmy.com and StampinKub.com . I know it will all need a little tweaking but I decided to go ahead and give it a try.

I hope no one feels let down because of my great build up in my first post. But this is the card I picked for my first photo. I made this birthday card for my mom. I used ‘Porcelain Prints’ designer series paper, River Rock cardstock, ribbon from ‘Jersey’ Ribbon Originals, a chipboard circle from one of the On Board packages, pieces from the Pretties Kit, Wild Wasabi ink, White Craft ink, the Canvas background stamp and the ‘make a wish’ stamp from Big Bold Birthdays stamp set. I put this on a Wild Wasabi card base. The final dimensions of the card were 51/2 by 71/2.
I hope you like it.
All of these items can be found in the Spring-Summer Collection 2008 catalog.
I have a couple of other cards ready to be posted but that will have to wait until tomorrow. All of this learning has made me weary. I have a stamp class coming up this weekend so I will have some additional things to post soon.
My next feat will be to set up the links to the catalogs and mini-catalogs. The Sale-A-Bration link was set up for me by Amy.
Also, don’t forget to check out the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog. Sale-A-Bration will only be here for 14 more days!
