Baby Shower Card No. 2

Well this is my punishment for sort of procrastinating maybe just a little bit. The photo turned out sorry! I had very little time to make this card this morning. Yes I waited until this morning. So I was in a big hurry to get a picture before I had to leave for the shower. And it was very cloudy and gray outside and inside. So I ended up taking a picture of the card laying in the window sill and hoping for the best. I know I said I was going to work on this but….Sorry!

The card looked soooooo much better than this photo.

But let me tell you I just LOVE my new Nestabilities. They are just too cool. Now I have to decide how I am going to store them because they are just stuck to the card they come on. I have seen lots of neat ideas but I’m not sure which one is going to work best from me. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear from you! I need all the help I can get.

Now I have to go make something so I can use my new pens. I guess I need to check my calendar and see who is coming up on the birthday list. I did just get Stampin’ Up!’s Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. Maybe I’ll make something with it or maybe the Sock Monkey. He has been sitting in my stamp room all alone doing nothing. Well he’s not really alone. He probably has…no I’m not going to say how many friends he has in there. I don’t think I want to face that right now.

I hope you liked the baby card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Shower Card

Ok here is the first Baby Shower card I made. And I did not have a whole lot of time to make it either. I know most of you will think it was due to procrastination but it was not. I promise. Although I guess I could have started a little sooner….

Yesterday I had my #18 molar removed. Ouch! When I called Thursday to make sure everything was scheduled and ask if I needed to do anything special, they asked if I wanted anesthesia? Now tell me what kind of ridiculous question is that? All I could say was I think…YES! What did they think I was going to say No just yank it out and listen to me scream.

Anyway, after It was removed, I came home and rested. I couldn't really get any mojo going with that new hole in my head.  So I found a sketch (Sketch #98) on CPS that I wanted to use and cut the paper but I did not finish it until this morning.

Yes, I used my new Nestabilities to make the ovals. And I give them a big thumbs up! Since this was the first time I used them, I wasn't quite sure which sizes I really wanted so this is what I ended up with. I was kind of tight on time so I couldn't do much experimenting. But I think they look OK.

I should have the second one tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!

By The Light Of The Day

This is one of the cards I made when we did not have any electricity after the hurricane. Before the storm, a good friend of mine asked me if I could make a card for her for a baby shower she was giving at work. I did not want to let her down just because I didn’t have electricity so I had to work by the light of the day. Which was nice because with the windows open you could hear all of the kids playing and the birds singing (when the generators were not running).

As usual this card is a mix of old and new.

I hope you like it!

Happy New Baby Card

Greetings Galore Stamp SetIf you need a new baby card quick, this is it. I made this card with one of the stamps from Stampin’ Up!’s "Greetings Galore". This set comes in the Demonstrator’s Starter Kit. Every stamp in the set could be used on this card. If your in a hurry this is one of the simplest cards you can make. I made this card right after I got my starter kit a few years ago and if I could do it then, ANYBODY can do it. You will have to change out the ribbon because the organdy ribbon has been retired but I think the Bashful Blue Taffeta ribbon would look great!
