New Lots of Bots Birthday Card – CPS Sketch#124

First of all, Hi! I hope everyone is not too hot.

I know I said I was going to do better at posting this year and I tried but things just got in my way. But I am trying to get back on course. I refuse to let this stuff get the best of me. :)

One thing I would like to point out is that there is NOTHING on this card that is retired. I repeat nothing! Woo Hoo!

I needed to make a birthday card, well really a whole bunch of birthday cards but anyway we are not talking about procrastination. No, we are not. So I started at CPS and decided Sketch 124 would be fine. Well somewhere along the way I got lost. It’s been awhile and my mojo was no where around so I did the best I could.

Now if you are laughing at the coloring on my robot…stop. I tried. That does count. If you try hard, it’s OK. It’s not OK if you don’t try. Who am I trying to convince. Please. There are so many ladies out there that color beautifully but I’m just not one of them. Remember, I am just not very artistic or creative. But I will survive….sorry, got carried away.

I have to make another card soon. The recipient of this card has a brother that needs a card too. On the same day. So I must make another! Cannot procrastinate any longer.

I hope you like my little Bot. Check back soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Serene Sunflowers For My Mom

I made this card for my mom for her birthday.

I used this week’s CPS Sketch #104. You should really give one of their sketches a try!

My card turned out really pretty even if the photo is less than accurate. I’m not sure what is going on but I need help. Hopefully it’s just the lighting. It’s very dark in my house and cloudy outside. Oh, wait a minute it was very sunny out last time. So maybe it’s not just the lighting. HELP!!!!!!!

The problem is the card base I used was Barely Banana and that does not look like Barely Banana to me. OK the card still looks nice even if the color is off. You would never know if I didn’t tell you. Maybe we can just pretend it’s some other color. Hmmmm. Maybe Creamy Caramel or maybe we can pretend it’s Barely Banana. That way it would match the sunflowers!

Since we are pretending, I’ll get you to pretend you can see the glitter on the sunflowers and the leaves, too.

Man, all of this make believe stuff is wearing me out. So I’m gonna give you a list of the supplies and then I’m gonna go rest.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Loads of Love WSC #68

OK, this is the last Valentine’s Day card. It turned out a little girly. But like I said in the last post I ran out of time so this is what he got. He is only five so he didn’t really care. It had hearts on it. That was good enough. He’s so sweet he wouldn’t say anything anyway.

I made this card using Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge #68

I like using sketches. It seems to take a load off of my brain. I don’t think my brain was made for creating. It starts to smoke after only a short time of creating. And that’s not really fair because I really enjoy creating.

Oh, well. That’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Well, I’m off to clean something…there are so many things to clean I’m not sure where I’ll be starting but I do know that my craft room looks like the aftermath of a Category 5 hurricane so I’ll be in there somewhere. If I don’t post anything for a long time have someone come looking for me. I may be stuck under a pile of paper or stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hand Drawn Bundle Birthday

I made this card for one of my neighbors son’s birthday. He turned 10. Another hard one for me. I always keep my fingers crossed that they don’t look too girly. Ugh! But I think it turned out good. I used card sketch #102 from CPS to make this card BUT I actually used one of the CPS Designers cards as my inspiration. Are you confused? Stacey Kingman made a card for this sketch and I just loved it so I used her card as my inspiration. You can see it here . It’s the There’s No One Like You card. Thank you, Stacey!

It’s hard to tell but I used one of my new glitter pens on the cupcake. It didn’t show up on the picture but the cupcake is really sparkly!

Baby Shower Card

Ok here is the first Baby Shower card I made. And I did not have a whole lot of time to make it either. I know most of you will think it was due to procrastination but it was not. I promise. Although I guess I could have started a little sooner….

Yesterday I had my #18 molar removed. Ouch! When I called Thursday to make sure everything was scheduled and ask if I needed to do anything special, they asked if I wanted anesthesia? Now tell me what kind of ridiculous question is that? All I could say was I think…YES! What did they think I was going to say No just yank it out and listen to me scream.

Anyway, after It was removed, I came home and rested. I couldn't really get any mojo going with that new hole in my head.  So I found a sketch (Sketch #98) on CPS that I wanted to use and cut the paper but I did not finish it until this morning.

Yes, I used my new Nestabilities to make the ovals. And I give them a big thumbs up! Since this was the first time I used them, I wasn't quite sure which sizes I really wanted so this is what I ended up with. I was kind of tight on time so I couldn't do much experimenting. But I think they look OK.

I should have the second one tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!
