Do You Keep Your Paper Scraps?

I keep my scraps for sure. I know, I know, I keep everything. But I will tell you this, I have thrown away more stuff in the last couple of months than I have in my whole life. And they say it lifts you up and makes you feel better. It's a lie. Now I just wonder when I'm going to need it! But it does take up less space.
I made this thank you note with scraps. It's 3 X 3 so the scraps didn't have to be big.
Supplies: Paper Scraps, 5 Petal punch, small oval punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, button, half pearl, twine, Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer, Stampin' Up! Classic Ink

Flower and Butterfly Card

Hello Everyone!
This card is a mix of really old, kind of old and new products. And its actually just a variation of the card I posted on Aug 27. The flower pattern was traced from an old Stampin' Up! On Board flower that I used in a workshop a few years back. I'm not sure but I may have as many scraps as I do new paper. As a matter a fact, looking at this card now, I think everything was a scrap except for the base.
Have a great day!

Fresh Cuts and Fleurettes II

This is another card made from recycled paper cut for long ago workshop. I ran some of the pieces through my Big Shot, turned them side, used a new stamp set (Fresh Cuts), added a flower embellishment from the Fleurettes II and wa la!
A new card.

Carousel Card

I love these butterflies!
This card is a mix of old and new. The DSP and Carousel card are retired but the scallop trim punch and the Beautiful Wings die and Many Thanks die are available in the current Stampin' Up! catalog. And as I was afraid, I cannot remember where I got the inspiration for this card. I am almost 99.9% sure it was from a Stampin' Up! catalog. As soon as I remember, I'll update.

Old + New = Better !!!!

Hello! Everyone.
I hope all is going wonderfully during this ever so busy time of the year. I know I've been busy, busy. Volunteering at the school, Fall Fest, sick kids, Cub Scouts, sewer work, kids selling cookies, kids selling popcorn, it just goes on and on. Uh, yes, I said sewer work. I helped with the surveying and laying some of the pipe. But it's not done yet so there is no telling what else I'll be doing! Yikes! So I've been contemplating how to get caught up and back into the swing of things here on my blog. I have lots of cards to show you but as things move so quickly in the Stampin' Up! world some have become "outdated".
But as you know I'm not afraid of outdated. The problem comes in when you the reader doesn't know that it's retired and wants to get it. So after worrying about that for awhile, I have just decided to post all of them anyway. Many of the cards I make can be done in lots of different colors and styles. And since a lot of the cards are from the Stampin' Up! catalogs and CASE'd from different places it would be great to change them up a little anyway to make it your own!
Sooooooo, I am going to start posting the cards. I will always include the information about where I got the idea. Hopefully I haven't waited so long that I have forgotten.
After I get caught back up I will start putting the card recipes back in. But if you have ANY questions send me a note and I'll get you the info you need.
So about the card in this post. I used one of our retired card kits to make this card. The instructions come with the card kit. I've made this exact card before but this time I stepped it up by using one of Stampin' Up!'s new punches. Sometimes the little things make a big difference.
By the way, please forgive the lighting problems in the upcoming pictures. I've been having…uh…let's just say issues.
Check back soon…really…I mean it this time.
Thanks for stopping by!
P.S. My workshop looks the same as it did last month.
It had to get in line behind that silly sewer line. And you know, that's one of the reasons I love Stampin' Up! so much. It's always there for you. It's ready when you are and it fits into your life just the way you need it to!
Simply Said

This is such a great stamp set. It is so versatile. I got this set when it first came out and I've used it many times for many different occasions.
I made this card for a make and take for a workshop. I found it on page 59 of the Fall-Winter 2008 Stampin' Up! catalog. I love these colors and I'm so glad they made it through the Color Renovations!
And speaking of the Color Renovation, if you haven't seen the new colors yet, you need to give me a call. They are amazing! I was concerned about the changes (you know I have difficulty with change)
but when I saw the new colors, I knew the changes were going to be good.
Anyway if you want the supply list for this card and you don't have access to a 2008 catalog, send me an email and I'll forward it to you.
Right now I'm working on birthday decorations using the Celebrations DSP, Party Banner, Party Hats and the Basic Birthday Decorative Strip Die and they are too cute. It's My Little Guy's birthday next week. He's going to be a whopping 7 yrs old. Unbelievable! Check back soon and I'll have some pics.
In the meantime, I'll be posting a few more cards from the recent past. Yes, the past. You didn't think I'd conquered the Procrastination Monster, did you? I'm working on it, but to no avail. But I will never give up!

Upsy Daisy

This is a card I made for a home workshop. I CASE’d it from the Stampin’ Up! Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book and Catalog. See page 101. I made the card late the night before the workshop. That was before I stopped procrastinating. The card was really simple and I knew they all would love doing the embossing so away I go to the workshop. So we are making cards and we get to this one and I put my sample (this exact card) on the little gold thing you see in the picture and as I set it down I look at the left side of the card and see the smudges where I moved the stamp when I was making the card. I thought I was going to die. My face must of turned red because they asked what was wrong. So I told them. They consoled me by telling me that it was fine and that you really can’t tell. Yeah, right. I’m supposed the be teaching them how to stamp and they are telling me my sloppy card looks great. So much for being professional.
But that’s not the important thing. What’s going on with the eyes is what I’m worrying about. My teeth are falling out (OK being pulled out) are my eyeballs gonna fall out next? Well I am sitting here looking at my computer screen through a pair of glasses, the kind you get at Target or Walgreen’s. The eye doctor told me a couple of years ago that my eyes were fine they were just getting old. He sent me to the store to get the glasses. By the way I’m looking for a new eye doctor. Not because he sent me to the store to get glasses but because I think he said I was old.
